As viewers remember, last episode ended with Hikari winning the pro-wrestling tournament, but lost to Kei in terms of number of moves. So, in an effort to keep up her promise, she told Kei to give her an order, but to her surprise, Kei wanted a bento (Japanese lunch box) made by Hikari.
Hikari’s mom was horrified when Hikari informed her she’ll be making bento in the kitchen. She promptly kicked her out, claiming that whenever she was in the kitchen, she’s capable of destroying the counter and breaking pots and pans. Undeterred, Hikari then approached Akira in the ‘School’s Paradise’, requesting her permission to borrow the kitchen. Akira readily agreed and asked to be the first to try Hikari’s cooking.
However, this and this and this happened…
And Akira began having doubts. Meanwhile, Kei’s waiting happily for Hikari’s bento to be done. And when it’s done…
But it turned out to be…
A cannonball riceball. Before Hikari could serve it, she tripped, and where the cannonball riceball fell, it made a huge dent on the ground. Kei insisted on eating it while the others were obviously horrified, but Hikari chomped it down and said she’ll make another one for Kei.
Back in the kitchen, Hikari’s still trying to figure out how not to break the rice while cleaning it. Akira, who tagged along out of general concern, suggested tentatively that she teach Hikari how to clean them properly, but Hikari stubbornly refused to, claiming that it’ll be like admitting defeat if she accepts any help, and then it’ll be utterly pointless.
Tadashima, who happens to wander in at that time, gently told Hikari that Kei would’ve loved to have a handmade bento, no matter how bad it tastes, as long as it is handmade. He further explained that ever since young, Kei’s parents were always out working, so he had never tasted any handmade bento before. Upon hearing this, Hikari finally asked Akira for help in making the riceball.
Moments later, Hikari approached Kei with two real, normal-looking riceballs in hand. Before Kei could eat it, however, the student council president barged in, grabbed the riceballs, and took a bit, claiming that Hikari made it specially for him. But… it turned out to be horrible. He quickly dropped it and rushed away. Hikari slowly picked them up, apologized to Kei sheepishly for almost making him yet another horrible riceball.
Kei took the riceballs from her, and ate it, claiming it was delicious, and that the student council president is a fool. As Hikari glows in happiness, Kei wanders off to ’slowly end the student council president’s life.
