Yeah, I kind of liked the ending.
However, we must realize that the manga is still on-going in Japan. Therefore we can not rule out the possibility of a second season in the near future. Actually, since the manga is still going and the anime advanced this much, I wonder what exactly is going on in the manga if all this has already been covered.

The more and more loose ends I keep hearing about…makes me think that some of the dialogue may have been a little useless in the story telling area…kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z dialogue, ya know what I mean? Then again that is a little nit-picky…but still…>_<

I’m sad that kurenai is over. I’d love to see more of murasaki’s adventures outside. but I guess that would turn it into a comedy instead of keeping its drama. Still, the way of thinking is a bit too mature for 7-year old – but I’ll overlook that. When I was 7 all I wanted was a Dragonzord. I still never got it to this day.

I’d like to see a bit more squabbling between Ginko and Yuuno. Probably something to end for Ryuuji and the stepmother. Getting the SMS while taking a dump is an awesome moment, though.

But yeah. I wish they explained the more what the horn really was. But since Shinkurou totally kicked ass with it, I’ll settle for that.

Sometimes I wonder how Murasaki even obtained the maturity she has. There is a difference from being cultured and rich and mental maturity. Not only is she seven, she’s a seven year old that has spent most of her life in isolation, sitting on a mat in the Inner Sanctuary… and there isn’t a child in the world that would understand what Muraski’s mother went through at such a young age.

Eh… I’m not saying that you’re immature for holding a grudge >.<

As to whether he will “bow-down to the will of a little girl”, well, Murasaki isn’t just another “little girl” to Renjou. He loves her. Not only that, he loves her mother. When he thought about the unfortunate and sad life Souju lived, I supposed he didn’t want Murasaki to suffer like her mother did.

People are willing to do anything in the name of love. Love makes one stronger. It gives you courage to face the adversity of life. =)

Everyone wants their loved ones to live a happy life, to see them smile. I’m sure Renjou wished the same for Souju. But since she is dead, he’s only left with a chance to redeem himself with Murasaki.

And speaking of loose ends… go watch Darker Than Black. =P Loose-ends redefined, lol.

It takes more than just courage to forgive. For a very matured girl like Murasaki, I’m not surprised that she was able to let go of her hatred (I don’t think she hated her family anyway) for the Kuhouins and forgive them. Holding grudges against whoever did her wrong is quite childlike and won’t fit Murasaki’s character well.

Well, as for fighting the Big-Papa Kuhouin… Renjou was just too much of a pussy last time to go against his father. Perhaps he finally found the courage to defy the customs of the Kuhouins from his daughter. Who’s the adult here, lol.

And… Ryuuji won’t be able to lay his finger on Murasaki because the father is on her side?

Yeah, I wish the series was longer though. And talking about copped-out ending, you should’ve seen Darker Than Black. Don’t even get me started on that. =_=

Yea, I’m not sure if I really like the ending. To me it seemed just a little too cherry. I mean, in the end, everyone lives and it happy. Not to mention, I find it hard to believe that Murasaki would so easily fall back into her dad’s arms at the end. Call me spitful, but I would have a hard time myself saying “Ya know, you may have imprisoned me since I was born and allowed me to be abused by your wife, but I forgive you”.

I think my biggest complaint is that they don’t deal with the issue of Big-Papa Kuhouin (Murasaki’s dad’s dad). I mean, he was able to force Murasaki’s dad into doing all that stuff, what is to stop him from doing the same now?

But, I will admit Shinkurou’s blade was awesome, and yes he should have finished off that messed up brother (though they never make it clear how Murasaki deals with the brother who is bigger and stronger either…if he is still alive)

All in all, I feel the end was a bit of a cop-out. >_<
