Seems like in Japan, giving Windows 7 an OS-tan works well to attract crowds, as more than 1000 people gather for the launch of Japanese Windows 7 Ultimate DSP at Akibahara. One of the main attraction of this version of Windows 7 is that it comes with the first official OS-tan name Nanami Madobe, who is voiced by Nana Mizuki, which is one of my guess why so many otaku people gather for the launch.
As the say, seeing its believing, so AkibaBlog provides us with ample of pictures of the launch.
I guess its a matter of time before we also get out our OS-tan right ? Malaysia OS-tan name: Siti Aminah, voiced by Datuk Siti Nurhaliza.
…Of course I wouldn’t want that.
