Well, what can I say ? I never really like filler episode, as distracts us from the main story. Still, I guess its forgivable for a romance comedy kind of show. Overall its still not a bad episode, though its getting less funny for me like the previous episodes. This week episode focus on a cat, Micchi, who wants to catch sparrows in order to impress the female cat, so he request Junpei to train him so he can…well, shape up. Unfortunately Micchi, Junpei was distracted as Mizuno request him to help her out with club activities, thus ignoring the cat’s request. Micchi sought revenge, so he took Mizuno’s bra and put it in Junpei’s bag, replacing Mizuno handkerchief that Junpei borrowed from her. When Junpei wanted to return the handkerchief, he took out Mizuno’s bra instead, causing a misunderstanding. Junpei found out later, asking why Micchi did that. Micchi explain that Junpei ignored him and because of him, that he won’t be able to impress the female cat.

Junpei felt guilty and apologize to Micchi and then trained him to become…well, a man, sorta. LOL at the intensive training, it was like training for the army. Of course lucky for Junpei the misunderstanding was cleared, thanks to his friend.

As for Micchi, well, let’s just say he got the pussy, heh.

For me, I’m just glad we have Nagi. Her idiocy really helps to make up for the boring parts of the story.

Like I said earlier, recently the studio have focusing more on fanserivce shots. Not that I’m complaining, just that I hope they won’t stroll away from the manga material that much. Also, the animation quality is getting real bad, though still bearable.

From next week preview, we will have a pool episode, which is from the manga, but they seem to add Kotone and Akari in. I won’t be surprise to see if they add Chizuru in, but I feel sometimes that they can be out of place. Also to note episodes are from the manga but different timeline, so I’m thinking they they might make Junpei fall sick during the pool trip, and Kanako comes to nurse him. We’ll see how it goes.

“I never really like filler episode”
Is it still filler when its somewhat based on the manga ?
“As for Micchi, well, let’s just say he got the pussy, heh.”
Are you sure the other cat was female ? I was under the impression they were gay cats, since he said in the end “next is your turn to become a man” or something to that end.
One of the definitions I found :
Another definition I found :
So yeah, this is pretty much a filler episode. But like I said, for romance comedy series these fillers is pretty normal, so its pretty much forgiven and doesn’t really effect much the whole pacing and plot.
LOL ! But the other cat was a female, this screenshot pretty much confirm.
kiddokun: I think when he said “next is your turn to become a man”” or whatever he was talking about Junpei manning up and getting the girl.
“But the other cat was a female, this screenshot pretty much confirm.”
Uh, yeah, i wouldnt trust those people;s translations. Do you REALLY think the original had “hoe before bro” bit ? And “bang them both” bit ?
I dont think so.
“any plot event that does not coincide with its manga source.”
So by that logic, if in the manga some cat was black, but in the anime it is white – the whole episode becomes a filler just because of that ?
@ Nyantaku : Yup, he was talking about Junpei. But Karry’s was wondering if the other cat ( the orange / yellow color ) was a male, lol.
@ Karry :
Well, gg subs normally intend to American-ize their subs sometimes, but i don’t see anywhere in that episode that the other cat was a male, pretty much a female if you ask me.
Hmm, not really. Let me give you an example : In the anime FMP:TSR, the two twins were actually male in the novel, but in the anime they were female. However this is not consider a filler since the storyline still follow the original material, although the characters gender was changed.
For Nyan Koi’s case, this episode and the episode 7 were fillers episode because they introduce new
characterscats and the storyline for the episode doesn’t follow / were not in the original manga source. That’s why its a filler episode, and its quite normal for this kind of type of stories. If they follow the manga source closely, I think they would have been out of material even before the last episode. Then again, I have no problem with the filler episodes, since it does follow the motive of the story; cats request.“Are you sure the other cat was female ? I was under the impression they were gay cats, since he said in the end “next is your turn to become a man” or something to that end.”
I think when Michi said ‘your turn to become a man’, I’m sure he’s talking about Junpei i.e. be a man and score with Mizuno.
