Miharu’s group was saved by them *points up there*. How did they defeat em? They didn’t. They just show themselves and the bad guys retreated. Tch. If it were that simple, they could’ve just appeared earlier. Tch.

Miharu’s gang were patched up by the ninjas. Miharu got a patch on his eyes, Kouichi’s using a splint for his left arm and Thobari sensei remain unconcious. Raimei? She just suffered minor injuries and went “emotional” alone outside, somewhere conveniently can be see from inside through a window. =_=;

Kotarou, the weird leader also explains why the small bad boy is overpowered : seems that he’s using his own life force to use the killer skill, hence moar powar to kill. Lame. I wish that he’s really overpowered so that the good guys can weep for mercy. Muahahaha.

Back to business. The good side wants to know how to remove the Shinrabanshou, while the bad side, obviously wanna keep the Shinrabanshou for themselves.

Don’t worry he’s just kidding. *points to first picture* Yes, that’s the reason why he wants it. He likes to do this regularly, while being able to maintain his position as the leader of the village.

There’s a lot of backstory in this episode, more about the Shinrabanshou, and methods to remove it. It seems that if Miharu dies, the Shinrabanshou will be revived in someone else. The cycle has been there since old times. So, in order to stop that, Kotarou will create a new ninja technique research… something that the bad guys most probably doing too.

But.. they need 5 special scrolls from 5 villages.

Meanwhile, the leader of the bad guys announce his evil plans to his people using teh internets. He wants all the scrolls. So does the good guys now in order to protect the Shinrabanshou.

Can’t say I’m fully anticipating the next episode now. This anime feel like.. regular anime. Once it come out, I’ll just watch. I hope there’s no cool ninja actions in the future episode. Yeah, I think that’s the only thing that kept me watching this anime – the cool ninja actions.

Storyline? Seems like it’s a typical “gotta catch em all” stuff. Still quite early to comment on it.

Oh? This series is getting “darker” and “darker” now after all those ‘bishie’ jokes here and there in the previous episodes. Interesting.

Oh come on. Stop exaggerating.

The story continued from where it left where Miharu gang arrived at Fumi just to found out that the village had been attacked by “bad guys” ( Sorry, I just love to use the word “bad guys” ). They found an dying survivor and tell em stuff that they need to know like “They’re strong, we suck, one of them was a monster and they’re after one sweet loot “. Sort of. Thobari-sensei also notices something weird with the injured survivor: she looked pretty bad but there’s no damages to her clothes.

In the village, the bad guys were still there and continued their search for the “loot”, Fuuma’s Kinjutsu’s scroll. They were in burning building while trying to ‘interrogate’ one of the villagers, who end up being killed by one of em. They found a secret door and continued to chase the others who they assume to guard the desired item. To no surprise, they all die.

While the bad guy busy killing em all and found out that they were just “decoys”, the villager who’s holding the scroll emerges out from secret door and continues to run to safety. Well, of course, the bad guys are too good for him and it doesn’t take long for the bad guys to find him running alone.

After running here and there, he ended up “falling” in front of the coolest looking bad guy in the series so far: a guy with a gun ( refer the first pic. yeah, that’s him ). Ok, I think he’s cool looking.

Meanwhile…

... and I'm pretty sure Kakashi is not one of em.

… that screenshot above just shows that he’s the one responsible for the looting mission. Appears that he’s not worried about the few number of ninjas he sent, because a Kira ( forbidden technique ) user is with them. And… he also reveals that they’re currently working with government constructing new sewers thus it’s about time to execute his “plans”. “Bad guys” and “plans”, can’t be separated, never.

Back to the bad guys in the village. So, they manage to get their hands on the uber loot and starts talking over it while surrounding the poor villager. Revealed their reason on hunting the Kijutsu too. Seems that they wanted it so that they can use it in order to obtain the Shinrabanshou.

And oh wow! The timing couldn’t be better, here comes the Shinrabanshou and the gang rushing towards them. Wow. Fight scene starts here, with personal commentaries sparsely here and there.

Miharu is no 'Golgo 13' but able to maintain one facial expression.. anytime.. even when his friends are working their ass off fighting bad guys

While Miharu & Co busy fighting the bad guys, the village takes this as an advantage to flee away… so he did that. This is where they introduced ‘Yoite’, another bad guy. Now we know who’s the ‘Kira’ user.

I, Yoite

That’s Yoite? See what he’s doing? Pointing his fingers? No… that’s his leet skillz. That’s how he kills. Just point and kill. Ok, the poor villager well, being a poor guy, DIES. Then everyone goes ZOMGWTF then being smart, they run away.

Logically, he should be in 2 piece, unless the she sucks at swinging katana.

A lot of fighting scenes from here onwards, so I’ll skip a bit forward.

I, Kotarou

After a lot of fighting and when they all are about to die ( yes, the point-and-kill guy is overpowered ), Fuuma Kotarou appears ( again, the miraculously nicely timed appearance ) to save the day. Episode 3 ends.

Impression? I like the suddenly change in terms of the overall feel. Previous episodes was humorous but this episode is just.. “dark”. Happy to see there’s more action scenes, more than previous episodes. So far so good. Now, let’s wait for the next episode.

The atmosphere is getting more interesting with the introduction of Raimei Shimizu, a blondie who’s having problem recognizing people and thinks that she’s a samurai. And it seems that Thobari sensei “can’t” ride moving vehicles, not even bicycles. He’s been “walking” around a lot it seems.

And oh, Miharu has been abusing his “cuteness” for the wrong reasons too.

So, they’re off to Raimei’s hidden village to see and found that the village had been attacked. Can’t wait for the next episode. Oh ya, it appears that the one who carried Miharu back then was Thobari-sensei. Hmm.

In my previous ‘Nabari no Ou’ post reveals that this is an anime about ninjas.. obviously.

And this ain’t your typical Naruto ninja stuff.

Miharu Rokujo, a 14-year old middle school student had an “interesting” past. The episode revealed that few year ago, a young man carried him on his back while running away from “bad guys”. After being surrounded, uncontrollably, Miharu unleashed a devastating power and instantly wipe out the bad guys.

Miharu doesn’t interact with people much. Likes to act dumb at stuff and doesn’t care much about his surroundings. Maybe not good at making friends too. “Carefree” is suitable for him. Good at sarcasm too.

Kouichi Aizama, one friendly + energetic + smart looking classmate of Miharu approached him and invited him to join his “ninja club”. Naturally, Miharu doesn’t care and ignored him. More like he “vanished” like Kouichi busy talking to him. A teacher named Thobari Kumohira Durandal was introduced in a bizarre way. Seems that the teacher wanted him to join the “club” too.

Kouichi looks like a nice friendly guy and all, but when it comes to ninja stuff, he’s really serious about. Same goes with the teacher.

Half of the episode was about trying to persuade Miharu to join Kouichi’s association. The other half, is filled with more interesting stuffs like “bad guy appears”, “fighting stuff”, “what’s-going-on conversations” and “more fights”. So yeah, the bad guys started his pursue for Miharu. Thobari sensei reveals more information about the series’ background and his intention of making Miharu the Ruler of Nabari, the hidden ninja world.

That’s episode one. I like it. Yes, I like it so far. Yes, it’s only episode 1 but I already like it. Mainly because the fighting scenes looks good and nicely animated. Plus it’s attached with a great opening credit.

It’s an anime about ninjas. Yay! Ninjas! ( No, no love for Naruto )

Describing it in one sentence: An anime about a young boy with hidden super powars hidden within him that the bad guys crave on.

I would like to write more stuff about this anime but for now, I’m quite tied up with other stuffs ( like the compulsory 5 hours nap per day ). So what I can say about this anime now is: It looks good and promising and I hope it doesn’t suck. I really hope it doesn’t suck.

I like the opening a lot, it’s nicely done. And OH! The fighting scenes are SUPER.
